Who Are GUWS ?
GalMudug Unity and Welfare Society (GUWS) is an online community organisation that aims to foster closer ties between the GalMudug Diaspora and to their state, GalMudug State of Somalia (GMS). GUWS was founded in April 2008 by a group of concerned Diaspora who recognised a strong need for an online community. The online community is envisioned as a place where members of the Diaspora could collaborate on improving the well being of GMS and its people, both the Diaspora and those inside the GMS.
Our Objectives
The organisation will utilise this website to provide a platform that allows members of the Diaspora to achieve the following objectives:
1. Foster closer ties between the GalMudug Diaspora
2. Educate members of the public about GalMudug State, its people and its government.
3. Strengthen the bonds between the Diaspora to GalMudug State
4. Encourage collaboration and exchange of ideas between the Diaspora on the development of GalMudug State
5. Showcase the achievements and progress occurring in GalMudug State
Country Chapters
GUWS consists of a network of local country chapters based in various parts of the world.
